Our mycoprotein is a highly nutritious and sustainable source of protein. It benefits both our health and the environment. Part of the fungi family and derived from a type of filamentous fungi called Fusarium venenatum, mycoprotein is a complete protein that contains all the essential amino acids your body needs.

We believe mycoprotein is also a better choice than traditional plant-based proteins like soy and pea. Not only does the Carbon Trust rate us as better in terms of land, water and greenhouse gases, mycoprotein has a higher protein quality score, and is also high in fibre. Unlike pea and soy-based meat alternatives, our mycoprotein is created through the traditional and ancient art of fermentation. Mycoprotein is cultivated in large 40-metre-high fermenters, here at Marlow Ingredients we are literally growing high quality protein in the sky.
